Dear Toastmasters of District 219,
July 1, 2026, marks the beginning of a historic chapter. As we officially merge the rich legacies, diverse talents, and vibrant clubs of our regions into this brand-new district, we are not just rewriting an administrative map. We are building a powerhouse of human potential from the ground up.
A merger of this scale naturally brings questions about change and structural transitions. But true leadership is never about the mechanics of an organization; it is about the growth of its people. As I step into the privilege of leading District 219 this year, my strategy is guided by a singular conviction: “Good leaders lead, but great leaders build other leaders.”
We are here to build you. To do that, our district will rally behind a simple, actionable mantra this year: Know It. Speak It. Live It.
- Know It: Your first step is self-discovery. We want to help every single member identify their unique, inherent gifts and talents. True leadership starts with knowing your strengths.
- Speak It: Toastmasters is our safe harbor for courage. We want you to take those discovered talents and speak about them boldly, not just within the walls of your clubs, but out in your local communities.
- Live It: Communication without action is empty. We want you to live your leadership daily, using your growth to empower, mentor, and build the next generation of leaders around you.
Toastmasters has always been the place where leaders are made. Together, as District 219, we are going to prove it.
